Description of the Wood

  • Color: When freshly cut, the outer layers of wood (sapwood) white and yellow (duramen) dark brown, between both layers a contrast in color. In the air-dried wood is taken from the sapwood pale brown HUE 8/4 10YR and heartwood reddish yellow HUE 6/6 5YR 
  • Grain: Straight to interlocked

  • Banned: Overlapped arches and wide longitudinal bands with golden
